A tech-news desk for the AI era.
Cultural, opinionated, third-person, sourced. Written by humans. No fabrication, no invented quotes, no laundered press releases. Just the beat, told well.
How we started
The Tech Sheet was founded in 2024 by a small group of magazine writers and editors who had been covering technology, gadgets, and digital culture in adjacent publications and wanted to do it again with fewer chyrons and more opinions.
Editorial standards
Every story on the site describes a real, verifiable event. We do not publish fiction. Facts are checkable against primary sources — company press releases, SEC filings — or reputable reporting from outlets like The Verge, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Reuters, Bloomberg, the Associated Press, and the Financial Times. Direct quotes in double quotes are verbatim from a verifiable transcript or release; when we cannot source a quote, we paraphrase or we leave it out.
We do not invent product launches, partnerships, statements, valuations, headcounts, dates, or quotes. Every article ends with a Sources section listing the URLs the piece relies on. If a story cannot be sourced, it does not run.
