Apple’s “Surprise and Shine” event opens tomorrow at 10 a.m. PT at Apple Park, and the interesting question isn’t which iPhone gets announced. It’s what happens roughly five days later, when iOS 27 is expected to ship (Macworld pegs Sept. 14) and a conversational Siri lands on something like 2.5 billion active devices. For B2C founders, that’s the calendar that matters.

John Ternus runs the keynote as CEO for the first time; Tim Cook stepped into the executive chairman role on Sept. 1. The invites, per CNBC, went out Aug. 26 with a glowing Apple logo. New iPhones, Apple Watches, and a reported first folding iPhone are expected; new Mac Mini and Mac Studio ship Sept. 22.

The structural story is Siri. At WWDC26 in June, Craig Federighi introduced “an entirely new version of Siri deeply integrated into iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro,” calling it “profoundly more intelligent, knowledgeable, and capable.” The public beta arrived in July. Underneath sit Apple’s Foundation Models, built in collaboration with Google and distilling Gemini into on-device models that run on Apple Silicon, with Private Cloud Compute for the rest. Siri now lives in Spotlight, opens from a Dynamic Island swipe, and has a camera mode that lets users point and ask.

Add the Phone app’s new Call Context feature and Apple Maps’ enhanced Flyover, powered by Visual Intelligence, and iOS 27 becomes a new local-discovery layer.

The three-day countdown analysis laid out what’s at stake for local operators; the B2C-specific breakdown and earlier Visual Intelligence piece map the surfaces founders need to be on. Even the performance gains (up to 30 percent faster app launches, 70 percent faster photo loading, 80 percent faster AirDrop on older devices) matter because they push adoption deeper into the installed base.

That’s the readiness gap LemonLime is built to close: it watches platform shifts like this one and prepares the Apple Business Connect, content, and local-discovery work a founder needs, delivered at 9:00 AM the day it’s actionable rather than the week after the window closed.

Tomorrow’s event is a hinge moment, dressed as a hardware keynote.
